- BBreqset.exe (c) 1991,1992 by Freeman M.Crosby W1NPR
-
- Please read other Documentation first if running these servers with other
- BBS programs such as GTEPMS ETC. as they are basically designed for
- the REBBS program's parms.bb file. However substitute files are available
- to allow generic operation. Read Generic.doc & GTEPMS.DOC for added help.
-
- This program will set up your BBreqfil/BBreqdir programs in one operation.
- You may wish to create a directory just for the server files.
- You may run BBreqset from either this directory or a floppy disk as long
- as the *.doc files are in the same directory or disk as the BBreqset program.
- ( This is only needed if you wish to use the built in reader ).
-
- BBreqset is menu driven. It will let you browse the doc files before starting
- and read the configuration file when done if desired.
-
- It's operation will get all the data needed from Parms.bb ( no changes are
- needed in it ) and let you see what it has obtained.
-
- It will ask you what you wish the originating address to be such as REQFIL
- which would make it reply as REQFIL@Yourcall. Please note some Sysops will
- not like anything but a callsign as an address in messages going through.
-
- It will then run through all your present REBBS directories and let you choose
- those you wish the servers to access.
-
- It will then run through all the previous manually selected directories which
- you might have set up in previous sessions.
-
- It will then let you manually add any other directories you may wish.
-
- It will then compile a configuration file BBreqset.cfg which will reside in
- your "BB" directory for access by the servers when operating.
-
- It also will create a RQtrail.txt file to let you know what trailers go with
- each directory and their path/filenames.
-
- It then will ask you if you wish it to verify all directories and create
- any that do not exist if possible.
-
- That's it, put BBreqfil.exe & BBreqdir.exe in whatever directory you wish
- and call them up ( using proper path if not in the "BB" default ) using
- REBBS ES server commands from wakeup.bb as directed in the other .doc files.
